Ooooh, it's fun to get a new "junk food book" series. I'd describe the writing style as John Lescroart meets Janet Evanovich, with a touch of Robert Parker. Set in NJ, revolves around character named Andy Carpenter; defense attorney, sports addict and dog lover. The defense attorney stuff is mostly an excuse for a murder mystery so he can talk about how that gets in the way of his watching football or spending time with his dog. Oh and juggle the ex-wife and new ex-cop-investigator girlfriend, and eventually get together with a bodyguard whom the cops know goes to extremes and probably kills people (the Hawk/Ranger character that every good mystery novel needs).
Anyway, I've finished Open and Shut, First Degree, Bury the Lead and Sudden Death. Heading to the LA Public Library web site now to see how many more there are and to order them. Perfect airplane reads.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
