I'm pretty sure it was when I went to Chicago for the Dead's Fare The Well tour. I was suddenly on the road to Chi-town, and you gave me some tips about deep dish pizza and Garrett's.
Garrett's was a great tip. I didn't get any until leaving from the airport. There was some sorta sitch that delayed my flight for hours - a storm or something - so I spent most of the time exploring O'Hare. I got a bag of that deliciousness, and I remember stumbling about, post-show glow as we deadheads say, and then suddenly coming to with an empty Garrett's bag all covered in cheese corn grease. I've been addicted ever since. Thanks for adding to my addictions there Greg, as if I don't have enough already.

Someone brought us a tin of that once - I think half cheese, half caramel. Both so good.

Yes - the cheese caramel mix is their standard. The person in line before me got that.

Work from home day. Had our friend's dogs, so walked them and then went to the used bookstore and the post office. I think there was a Kung Fu film villain at the post office. He had a goattee that hung down about six inches.

I’ve been thinking I should stop trimming my goatee and let it grow out to more Kung Fu villain proportions. Gotta keep the stache trimmed because it makes eating to bothersome.
Tomorrow I’ll work a bit, then off to MJF as soon as my rider shows up. Looking forward to a jazzy weekend.

Saturday is a “Shop Day”. Sales have been down (booooooo!) but repairs are thick on the ground (yay…? OK, Yay). No stabbing (of the “sport” variety) until Monday.
While the mouth surgery was happening, I was off the blood thinners. This meant that I could return to my One True Love: Advil. It was a glorious week of greatly reduced joint pain. Unfortunately, I’m back on the warfarin and now must relegate my Advil cravings to a minimum. Sigh.

I’m supposed to be on-site by 9 but I’m skeptical that’ll actually happen. One more day of MJF. Looking forward to it.

Supposed to be on-site at noon for brunch, but I’m skeptical that’ll actually…no, it’s food, So I’ll be there at noon. Maybe even a bit early. Coworker (+ wife) of H’s. Should be a good time. Maybe over to North Beach afterwards for day-drinking.

Back to the default world ini 6 hours. Got a telemeeting first thing, then another longer one later, then in the evening I’m to meet a creator about coming on as a technical advisor to an animated series. Might be a job interview.
It’s gonna be a rough ddfault comeback - I’ve got a lot on my plates rn
