For me, Sabine will make or break this show. They've already done well by Ashoka so far in the live action.

I guess you gotta know who Ezra is too. He was the central protagonist at the beginning of Rebels, but his role was eclipsed by Sabine and Hera.

Ep 1 was ok. Rosario is nailing Ashoka. The jury is still out on Natasha as Sabine. Natasha is a decent martial artist IRL so it was nice to see her in a fight scene although that wasn't a good example of what she can do. I do not like Mary as Hera. Her face is too round and her attitude is too soft. Maybe motherhood has softened her but so far, I'm not impressed by her in that role. David is good as Huyang, but that's a new character.

Good to see lots of lightsaber fights. I've often said that what's been missing with a lot of these D+SW series. I like the new Sith. And it was good to see Diana's role expanded. Diana is my Man at Arms castmate, if you'll remember.

It was all fine. I wasn't too lost. I want more Ray Stevenson. It is sad that has past.

It's really feeling like the next season of Rebels. The disappearance of Ezra was the final cliffhanger. Sabine and Hera are left hanging, a bit older at the end, going their different directions and longing to find their lost friend on the chance he survived a self-sacrificing climax that took out Thrawn. I may revisit that final ep again soon.

Vader killed Ashoka in Rebels. But Ezra brings her back with some SW time travel.

I only watched the 1st ep. I'll probably watch e2 tonight.

Well Dave Filoni is the writer and director and producer. I'm sure he knew where he wanted the Rebels story to go.

We will probably watch Ep 02 tonight as well.

Dammit. I was thinking Admiral Thrawn was going to be played by Mads Mikkelsen (Yes, he was a different character in Rogue One) but no the actual actor is Lars Mikkelsen. How do we have two actors with the last name of Mikkelsen?

**Update** Turns out brothers are allowed to have the same last night. Lars is the older.

I don't think Mads would've made a good Thrawn. I don't know Lars.

I will be mad if there's a romance between Ezra and Sabine. There was always a bit of sexual tension between them, but they should not hook up. Sabine is better than that. She's a great character, on the level of Ashoka, so for me, a lot hinges on how Natasha handles this role. So far it's ok, but I'm not sold yet.

E2 = more lore: the witches of Dathomir who play a major role in the Clone Wars & an Inquisitor, who were the baddies in Rebels - both were wielders of the force although it was the dark side.

Also Chopper returns! Now all the need is Zeb (who appeared in Mando or Boba, I can’t remember which now) and the Ghost.

Sabine cutting her locks and donning her beskar armor was a major step towards returning to her beloved character in Rebels.

Still not keen on Hera but I’m all in with this now.

That underlies pretty much all of my happy posts.

Honestly, it’s nice to see Rebels get a 5th season in live action.

I just read that Rebels ends with Ahsoka and Sabine going off to search for Ezra. And so does the end of Ep02 of Ahsoka. Perfect.

It’s really worth it to watch the finale of Rebels http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...3#pid66983

It’s not long and it’ll make you appreciate what’s happening in Ashoka a lot more. It’ll also explain (well, you’ll get to see them) the Purrgil, which are the space whale/squids you see in the graphics of the opening credits of Ashoka.
