Sheltering in Place
I just assumed a gorilla cart was some kinky sex thing that I didn’t want to know more about.

I think that’s a “Donkey Kong”…?

898-190: Got a meeting first thing (I should get to sleep for that) then work. I need to hit the post office for my mom’s mail because I forgot they were closed yesterday.

Today has been a successful pajama day. You’d think because I work from home I’d have more of these but I must get dressed to take Yuki out. Today, his dog walkers braved the storm. It was a short walk though because the bomb cyclone is dropping.

I actually got more done workwise than I thought I would. I should do more pajama days…

Didn't rain that much here during the day but started on my way home and now raining hard. Some power outage in the downtown area but SJSU has their own generator. They told us to work remotely tomorrow but I'm remote on Thursday anyway.

Breezy this morning, damp this afternoon, fucking pissing tonight. God is pressure-washing the city. Lots of small power-outages (2 brief ones at the club; PGE substation across the street keeps us going). Road home like a grandma. I usually cut through GG Park to get home, but it was totally blocked off. On the final approach to H's, it really ramped up.

More tomorrow!

It is dumping rain rn. Bomb cyclone going off!

900-192: Triple telemeet Thurs. Another work day.
Looks like there will be a short break just before sundown when I might take Yuki out. He’s got a new raincoat that’s super cute.
Iaido is still closed for the holidays but Kung Fu reopens so I’ll likely do that.

Come on, people! Atmospheric River or Bomb Cyclone? Which one is it.

The Bomb River is going off here at the moment. I will be skipping the morning walk as the fury swirls around us. Have to get on some rain gear to navigate to the studio to feed those cats.
I really need to get some words on paper. It's driving me mad.

901.193: Happy Friday. It’s a work day amazingly enough. And Friday is when I water my drsgon tree plant, which is my only surviving office plant since before the pandemic. Yep, a big Friday. I should get some rest beforehand.

I also have to water my work plants. My extremely slow growing aloe is getting a new leaf.

I had several plants at my office at Tiger Claw. I was getting into having plants at the office. Only one survived the pandemic and made it to my home. It was the only plant in our bungalow until one of Stacy’s clients gave us another. We have a four plants on the veranda, one that has come from Stacy’s office in Menlo over a decade ago.

Christina wasn't into house plants until a few years ago. Now she has a bunch in the house. I've only got one - a Desert Rose. I got it cheap at Flora Grubb, and it was only a couple of inches tall. I almost killed it before I learned how to water it - a good soaking once a month. It's doubled in size, but is a slow grower and it's just one stalk. I don't know how many years before it will branch out or flower.

I've always had some at work at this job, but my office move years ago put me in a darker office, so the three I have now is probably about the max, unless I get a shade loving plant.

Today Christina has a morning house call, so I'll go to Recycle. Then maybe we'll hit the Farmer's Market for a loaf of bread, and Michael's for some cardstock for me and a crochet hook for her.
