We all know what causes baldness: The Bathroom Selfie.

I may post it on my IG soon. I know, I know… the cupping scar trend is long over but it’s some spectacular bruising.

I had the cupping rings from Master Tu when he tried to treat a sciatica flare up.

My old accupuncturist did the cupping more mellow and I never bruised much. She thought that was overdoing it.

Cupping - you end up looking like you got hugged by an octopus.

Last night was rough. My pain migrated to my shoulder socket and I couldn’t find a position of comfort from 4am until I finally got out of bed around 8.

833: Today started with a surprise breakfast in Tola. A JAH Med doc friend was in town to pick up her westfalia van that died at Cali Roots. After $5k new transmission was installed, she was driving back with her son driving her Tesla - closing the final chapter in CRXI. It was good to see her and she offered some advice about my medical issues.

Went to Kung Fu and broke a good sweat. Talked to another student who had the same issue and got a laminectady (sp?) He’s a tall surfer around our age, very active, and felt the operation was fantastic. Unfortunately his surgeon is with pamf so out of my network.

I’m lying on the floor with Yuki now, waiting for the pain to subside. Gonna take a hot epsom bath and have some lunch. I’ll probably work a bit from bed off my laptop. Still struggling to keep up. We’ll go to the dog park later.

834: This morning required a do-over. Shoulder pain had me tossing and turning in the wee hours, and when I out of bed, it took me down again. I was in a fetal position suffering and waiting for my meds to kick in. Stacy set up some pillows and bolsters to support my body and I lay there and passed out. After waking again, I crawled back into bed.

I just got up again. The pain is more manageable but it is wearing me down.

hey DM, have you considered estim?  I think they mostly confuse the nerves which reduces the pain.

They're not too expensive. I think they carry them at Horsnyder's. I got one thru Amazon that works pretty well.

I've done e-stim before, both western and with acupuncture.

In fact, I was doing acupuncture in Fremont after I was first diagnosed - my insurence covered that. Did that for ... I dunno, several months. It was on the way to TC when I lived there and I'd get up early and do a pre-work session. I'd be the first patient and often, they had just turned the lights and heat on, so it was dark and cold. The acupuncturist had a solid longstanding rep, but only some were covered, and I grew suspicious because it wasn't delivering. They forgot about me once, leaving me on an e-stim for way too long in a back room. I finally quit after a session where they set up the needles in such a way that the e-stim crossed my gluteals and so it basically made my ass flinch for a half hour. My issue is cervical. How tf does shocking my ass help? That was one of my negative experiences with acu.

I have an appt with my old chiropractor in Palo on Tues. If I don't snap out of this, Stacy may drive me. I'm feeling a little better now - worked at my workstation for a bit - but am now working off my laptop in bed again. I'll make another push to work sitting up soon - I'll need my workstation for some upcoming tasks.
