EXCLUSIVE: Gina Carano will have her revenge. In her first project since The Mandalorian, we can reveal that the actress is set to star as a traumatized woman whohires a long-hauler to track down an infamous serial killer.
The Hitcher and Near Dark scribe Eric Red has written the script for the untitled action-thriller, which is based on his novel White Knuckle. The story follows a strong-willed woman who survives an attempt by serial killer-trucker ‘White Knuckle’. Haunted by her encounter and the cops’ inability to catch her tormentor, she partners with a trucker to end the killer’s reign of terror.

Meh.
I dumped Carano when she went trumpet. What can you expect from a gambling mogul's daughter?

I watched the Behind the Scenes for the making of the Last Episode of S2 of The Mandalorian. Lots of cool details about the de-aging technology they used. Lots of info about the methods they used to keep it a secret down to making a fake character. It was very interesting.

I could watch these BTS videos all day. I just wish the video were longer and took more time focusing on the shots.

Looking at the preview thumbnail, I wonder what ever happened to the bantha costume they had on display at Marine World when it was in the Redwood City location…

I've got 3 eps left in season two. This is a whole lotta Jar-jar level dumb. I'm not sure what the hype was about. It's really pretty to look at, but the writing is awful - targeted to pre-teens, I think. The interactions in every episode are transactional. "I will help you, Mandolorian, but first you must do X" (the rest of the episode is this side-quest) it's like I'm watching someone play a Star Wars video game. And the NPC (non-player character) dialog is straight out of gaming:
"You must go to Foo in the Bar system and seek out Bas. His deep knowledge of Babar may help you find what you seek".
Really concise, stilted, and peppered with all of the clues and back story one needs.
Other stupid dialog:
blue: you are from Alderaan. I was in the battle when we lost it. Did you lose anyone?
Gina: I lost everyone
For fuck's sake, man, the Death Star blew the planet up.
The best bit so far was the storm troopers waiting in the desert next to their speeder bikes, using a downtime moment for a little Target practice with a can (or some similar piece of Star Wars world junk)

Oh, and would it break your budget to digitally add two shadows while you are on Tatooine?
Details!

I didn't realize it when I watched the first episode, but TG totally nails it: it was like watching someone play a video game.

That’s been a tradition with SW since the prequel trilogy. The pod race was solely to develop the video game.

I've been unimpressed with the later films, except for Rogue One.

It’s been downhill since Empire. But Empire was so good that it built the franchise. I’m still engaged, or at least amused, but nothing compares to the first 2 films. Like so many franchises, I’m happy to coast along even if it’s about diminishing returns.
I enjoyed Mando for what it was, but then I loved Rebels so there’s that…

I know I am late to the party, but I have started watching this and am enjoying it. Very relaxing.

So many mandalorian cosplay (plus variants) here at sdcc. Possibly more than stormtroopers now…
