Stro
In odd news, a film distribution company based in Russia has reached out to me about Stro. They would like to see a screener.

And I might as well put this here for posterity.

Okay. I might have a distribution deal for Stro:TMDS in Italy. The film was seen at the Mescalito Film Festival and now they want to try and distribute it in Italy. No cost to me upfront.

The only problem is all the theaters are still closed in Italy. But they want to try.

Cool.

Subbed or dubbed?

If dubbed, who is voicing DM & the Yeti?

I'm thinking Franco Nero for DM and Robert Benigni for the Yeti...

Well, the Distribution company that wants to distribute the film also ran the Italian festival (Your friends at Mescalito). For the festival, they did a sub-title track. So, it's good to go on that front.

I'll pass along your suggestions for dubbing actors to the Distribution company. I'm pretty sure they won't care.

Happy Validation Day! I'm supposed to get the final notification from the Cyrus intentional Film Festival. I'm already an official selection but today they tell who won the month. This will be the last notification until Christmas.

By 'he' I meant Daniel Wu. Not sure he can or would do anything about it if he does watch it, but we did offer.

Where is the original message you are quoting from? Or did you just quote yourself in your own message? Again?

I'm glad Mr. Wu said he would like to see it. I'll email you the link and the password.

The cool thing about DOOM forum quotes is that if you click the little green arrow, it takes you right to the original source. You know that, of course, being our mighty DOOM forum master, but for the others, that would be here: http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...6#pid43646

Got link. I'll pass it along. I'm glad that he's interested too because I think he will enjoy it. Beyond the sword connection, he's into local history. Plus it tickles me to think of him watching me in something. Many thanks!

That post got lost with the two posts under it.

I'll keep refreshing the Vimeo Analytics page to see if he's seen it.

There will be no validation from the Cyrus International Film Festival.

Also, no one in the Bay Area has streamed the film this week. To be clear, no one in the world has streamed Stro:TMDS in at least a week.

I like to check out the film festival websites which I have entered. Some times they make their slates and neglect to send out notifications.

Today I went to the SF IndieFest to see if there was any news. They don't notify until Jan 9 but what the hell. For whatever reason I found the whole slate of films that they were going to put on during their February Festival. Sadly, I did not see Stro:TMDS among the list.

It seemed odd they would have the slate already put together with over twenty days left to go in their decision process. I thought maybe these might be part of last year's festival that maybe had been cancelled and they were going to be added to this year's festival. I emailed the program director to find out what was up. I immediately got a note back saying the slate hadn't been finalized and where had I seen the slate? I told him. I went back to the site, but I now get an error message when I try to view the slate. Something is hinky. I can still go to one film's purchase page to see it, though.

I figure they have a slate. They just don't want to announce it so they can look like they are giving all the films due diligence. And like I said, no sign of Stro on that list.

***Update*****

Further investigation shows that the films I found are part of the SFIndieFest 2020 slate, I think. The title of the page refers to 2020

I stumbled across the rabbit hole again and found the list of docs for SF Indie Fest. Stro: TMDS is definitely not on the list.
