Stro
Ooh, I think I got the Entertainment Editor at SFGate to watch Stro.

Nice.

Does that lead somewhere?  An interview, and piece on Local Boy Makes Good?  Or another festival opportunity?

Whatever, it sounds good.

I'm hoping they do a review for SFGate which is an online SF Mag.

To keep everything straight, LA Docfest has declined to validate me. Atlanta is up next. I have hope since someone in the south has watched the film twice at this point.

Happy Validation Day! At least as much as you can muster. Time to hear from Atlanta.

One of the festivals, just pushed their notification from Dec to May.

There is also an awards show tonight for the Orlando Film Festival. I've kind of lost track of Orlando. Not a lot of communication except for pleas for more money.

There will be no Validation from Atlanta. My submission to their film festival has been declined. No more deadlines until Nov 19

I was fixing some mistakes on various Film Festival web sites. On one Festival, Stro wasn't even listed. On another, this was the description of the movie:

"Ally Klein (played by actress/comedian Alyse Kenny) tries to find her own version of “happily ever after” while starting over again in New York City. Inspired by the comedian/writer’s life, this heart-warming comedy gives a personal glimpse into one woman's journey to make her dreams come true."

I had given up hope on SFGate doing anything else with me after they only watched about 25% of the movie. I figured they had seen it, not liked it and move on.

I have an interview this afternoon with the Culture Editor. Woo-hoo.

There is a strong local angle, so good on them for talking to you.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

That's what i was thinking when I reached out to them. No love from the other local papers or the student papers at NYU or SJSU

Sweet. Who is that specifically? I know some of the SFGate reporters.

Don't know him. But it was worth a shot.

Break a leg on that interview. Sell SF to sell the story (but you probably figured that out already).

And remember to tease DM & the Yeti because that'll be SF based too.
