Five validations this week and then silence will reign until the end of November. Today I'm supposed to hear from Atlanta. I don't expect much. No one in the South has seen the film. As a matter of fact, the film hasn't been seen in any of areas where the festivals are located and are announcing this week. I was really hoping for Oslo!

Jesse Dogillo has talked to Craig Vandervooren. Craig doesn't remember a team photo with the snake, but has agreed to go to his Dad's house to look for it.

I know we took that pic. I have a memory of seeing it but that may well be one of those false memories. Maybe it didn't come out. 

Last time I saw Craig was several years ago when he stopped by Tiger Claw with his son. We went out for lunch. It was good to reconnect but I've since lost his contact (I think it was via sitonmyfacebook, but that too could be a false memory - I searched for him and he's not there). It was amusing to see Craig in a fatherly role.

Last time I saw Jesse, man, I dunno, maybe back in the SF daze, which would've been over a quarter century ago. Is that right? I remember meeting with him after work at the Embarcadero mall and we trolled all the Happy Hours at the clubs and eateries. We got fairly drunk, to the point that Jesse would walk into the establishments and demand 'where da beetches?' Long live Jesse 'the dog' Dogillo.

Jesse says he still sees the Yeti but hasn't seen you since SJSU days.

We all still see the Yeti. Once you've had your retinas fried from those white yeti snow buns, they are forever scarred, burned into the afterimage of your rods and cones.

Jesse's forgetting my AFS years. That was post SJSU. We crossed paths then.

I drink to obliterate the yeti snow buns memories along with any other random yeti tawdriness. 

I need to drink more. Yetitawdrysnowbuns is the equivalent of a Last Christmas earworm but burrowing into your retinas.

The horror...the horror.

Happy Validation Day. It has become a triple validation day since Atlanta has yet to speak. The other two for the day are Oslo and Filmocracy. I got free entries into both Oslo and Filmocracy. I have one more tomorrow and then it's nothing for 19 days. Quite the run.

I guess I should have checked Film Freeway before posting. Filmocracy announces tomorrow, Oct 31. Altanta has pushed to Nov 1. Oslo won't announce until Dec 1

So, no Validation for me today.

I was unvalidated by the Filmocracy Fest. That's fine. They were a free entry and they never looked at the film. LA Docfest has pushed until tomorrow and Atlanta has moved to Wednesday. I like the Atlanta move because someone in the south has now watched the film twice.
