I get the links late, so I haven't put them in. I do have a link to where you can buy the tickets for this weekend's Boston Film Festival. There are available here: https://watch.eventive.org/bostonfilmfes...004cf9a0f4
Tickets are available now. Streaming starts on Thursday. I'll send you this in an email as well.

No one has as yet pointed out the acronym made from the first letters of the four US festivals spelled out in the laurels.

The Zoom interview for Boston went pretty well. Mr. Tarascio could have been better, but oh well. They will be sending me the vid file after the Film Festival so I'll post all it's glory then.
Today was supposed to be a Double Validation Day, but Portland pushed a week and Doc LA pushed to the end of October. Still on tap for a Denver announcement on Friday.
I'm beginning to realize the biggest weakness from the Virtual Festivals is you don't get to meet anyone. I should be making contacts with industry insiders but that's not happening. Boston I think has done a much better job with promoting it's festival than Burbank. We'll see about others.
I'm not sure if the Social Media thing is working. My footprint is very tiny. It can't be more than a couple of hundred people. When I tweet, I can get DM to respond. But even when Boston FF retweets, it doesn't generate much even thought they have 17,000 followers.
The adventure continues. Boston starts tomorrow. Denver validates on Friday. Marina Del Rey Hilton shares the snake story on Oct 2.

The Denver Film Festival has stepped up 2 days early with the decision not to validate Stro: The Michael D'Asaro Story. Although in the letter, they did say it was a near thing.
Now, there will be a lot of thumb twiddling until next Wednesday and Thursday when there will be four validations, which will be the last big bunch of validations.

Woohoo! I'm sure it was the presence of DM & the Yeti in the Snake Story vid that closed that deal. I'm telling ya, they gots legs. Sure, sure, one pair of legs is knicker clad, but diversity, amirite?
Post that when it happens (as if we have to tell you that). Our footprint isn't much bigger. Well, the leggyetiknicker footprint is ginormous but only in reality, not on social media.

Dude, as everyone knows, snakes don't have legs. It's science.

Clams got legs, though. I saw in in the comics.

While still focusing on Boston, there is still time to plan ahead.

I saw this trailer for the Warsaw IFF and I can only channel my inner Wayne and Garth. I'm not worthy.
But I'll take it. Yes it would have been better with a clip of Stro in there.

That's nicely done.
I'd like to go all in on one of these festivals. Burbank confused me. Boston crept up on me too fast, and I had appliances to fix. Marina del Rey appeals to me because they're streaming through Roku, which I have, so I could watch on the HDTV, and in fact I've already added the ShortsDaily channel (though it's empty so far); but I sense it will be a small festival with a narrow selection.
Warsaw is the apex predator. That trailer reinforces it. But so far there's no indication it will be streamable, or mention of tickets, or assurances of subtitles (though you did mention having to provide them for Stro). Anyway, this year has certainly thrown a monkey wrench into social events, so I'm not complaining or being overly critical. Just ... befuddled.

Tickets go on pre-sale Oct 1 for Warsaw. it's like a normal festival where you go to the theater to see the movie. Supposedly, they will screen Stro 4 times as part of Festival. It will screen a fifth time if it gets to the award part of the show. The film will be subtitled in Polish. This will be done by the Festival itself. I supplied them a transcript of the film.
I die a little each day that I am not in Warsaw for this. That trailer made me want to see all those films. I hope they do a trailer for the documentaries and Stro slips in.

Woah, that was a cool trailer. You know, I've never attended a film festival really. Well, that's not really true. I saw something at Cinequest once or twice. Maybe once. Maybe never. Damn, I don't remember now. But I've always dreamed of going to some exotic place to attend one - even just another state.
I would've totally been your valet for Warsaw... your gopher ... your ku li ... just to get in. I even would've donned knickers for that.
Maybe next time for DM & the Yeti.

The surprise non-validation strikes. DOC NYC has said no to Stro a day early. Why doesn't New York like Stro?
Portland is also up for tomorrow. One more on Thursday.
