Nice.  Very nice.

Wow.  Only about 40 miles from Cape Canaveral.

The only reason I say that is because a major rocket launch is on my bucket list.

And I suspect it's on yours as well.  Somewhere.

Not that I know the launch schedule that far ahead.  Or whether Orlando will become a physical destination.  Hell, I don't nothing beyond tomorrow.  And even on that I'm likely delusional.

I toured that facility. It was great fun. My mother in law lives south of Orlando. I entered in the hope we could combine a visit with her and a visit to the festival. The plan succeeded marvelously except for the fact the Festival will be virtual..

Got in touch with Mimi. I think the last time I contacted her, I used a newer email that her filter program didn't recognize so I got booted. I used the email address her program does recognize this time, so I got through.

She has a full schedule of podcasts at the moment so she can't help. Although she does know the program director of the festival, which is nice, but doesn't help me.

Onward. Waiting on word from Boston.

One potential fly in the Orlando Ointment. The letter I received says I'm a quarterfinalist and they will announce the semifinalists on Sept 15. I'm curious if they will still the quarterfinalists at the festival or if it will just be semi-finalists. I want to screen, dammit.

Ah well, it was worth a try. She's been milking Rucka since The Old Guard and that's so two months ago. I was kinda hoping she'd reach out about the end of KFTC, but I wasn't attached to it. Orlando would be fun tho. She's promised me a home-cooked Jamaica style dinner if I ever make it out to their temple.

I announced. I did get an email after all. They didn't send me the laurels but they were available on the website so I grabbed them! I've been hoping for their acceptance for about a week once I noticed that three different people had watched this in Massachusetts.
