It's also New Orleans FF validation today. I haven't checked yet to see if they pushed their notification day. But the rule is post here, then check, then update because I really should have just checked Film Freeway first.
In a fit of paranoia yesterday I sent out a bunch of letters to the film festivals telling them I had updated the password. I changed the password because one of the interviewees wanted to know if he could share it out. I sent out the emails just in case, possibly, people who needed to see the film and wanted to see the film couldn't see the film because of the password change. Alternatively, the people hadn't seen the film simply didn't want to see the film. I could believe that but i won't.

If it'll make you feel any better, scroll through the comments on https://www.youtube.com/user/KungfuMagazinedotcom. A long time ago, Patrick and I made the decision to leave them all up except for the blatant spams. Sometimes the comments are the best part.

There's been a disturbance in the force.....
I just got an email from a Sales Representation firm congratulating me on entrance into the Burbank IFF and asking to view Stro with the expectations they can market it. It might just be a bulk letter sent to all participants at the BIFF, but it's a little something.

I received the "Status Change" letter late last night from the New Orleans FF that I will not be validated. They did point out they received 4655 submissions of which only 4% were accepted. Although, it did concern me that they never watched the film in New Orleans despite the claim in the letter they had spent the last 8 months watching the movies. I was move to send a strongly worded letter, but tQ said let it. I figure they saw the trailer and said next.
I'm supposed to get word from Boston today. I have already check the Film Freeway website and it still says today. Boston is another city that hasn't looked at the film.

I stand corrected. Somebody in Rockport, MA saw the whole thing yesterday.

I'm in this ugly daring to hope mode for Boston. As I stated above, the day before notifications were due, someone in Rockport, MA watched the whole thing. Rockport,MA is the mailing address for Boston FF. Then yesterday someone else watched it two times at 49% each time. I wonder if they watched the whole thing in two sections? Anyway, that means there have been two viewing in the state of MA on the eve and day of validation.
So, a little hope has creeped in.
In news that you are ruining this, my mother keeps calling to see if anyone has called me to interview me for the movie. She also got a request from one of her women's groups for me to come up in October and screen the film for them. I had to remind my mother about the pandemic and SIP. Plus, I'd rather not be her performing monkey.
