Stro
As far as I know, it's a validation day. It's another BIFF or it could just be BFF for the Boston Film Festival. On a deeply rational level, I know, Stro will not be accepted. I base on the fact that no in Massachusetts has screened the film. They probably saw the trailer and gave it a quick pass. But I still hold out hope. And despite knowing I won't be accepted, I will still be disappointed when I get the note saying Stro was not accepted.

***UPDATE***

I just checked the Film Freeway page and the BFF notification has been pushed to Aug 24. NOFF will notify on Aug 25

Woohoo! The full size posters have arrived in Poland. The USPS had me worried.

I'm resigned to it not happening.

But there is still time...

Damn you, Hope, and your eternal springs.

I ran an ad on Facebook publicizing the fact Stro got into BIFF and how to get tickets if you would like to see the movie. Yes, I spent $20 to make friends.

Today someone posted on the ad. They wanted to know how could I dare to post on their private FB page. They wanted me and FB to remove the ad immediately from their private FB. I was going to answer back that obviously they didn't understand how FB works and that FB can put any ad they want on any page while simultaneously taking all their data and selling it to the highest bidder. I was going to write this to them, but I resisted. I am strong like that.

Boston FF has pushed notifications until Wednesday. I guess that gives them time to see my film!

I just got off the phone with my mother. My brain hurts from trying to explain to her how an online festival is going to work. My brain hurts from explaining how a pandemic works and why that means I can't go to the festival in Warsaw. "My care giver thinks you can fly into Germany and travel overland from there to Warsaw"

My brain hurts.

Another great comment on the FB book post for my online ad campaign:

"No intelligent person wants to go to California. Not while you have crazy politicians giving foolish orders..."

Ahah.  So my high school class finally rang in, did they.  No, I didn't send them.

Shut up and *rake*, you fools — RAKE!
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

DM and I have a person that both our mother's know. I think it is there one point of intersection. But she's crazy. In her younger days, she would break into the Oscars. At one point, my father came home to find her in my parent's house, as in wtf are you doing in the house.

Yesterday during my mother's call, my mother wanted to know if it would be okay for her to alert the local media about Stro. Thinking there couldn't be much harm in my mother sending out some emails (or rather my sister sending out my mother's emails), I said sure. What could be the harm?

Last night the crazy women called to talk about the article for the paper she was going to write about the movie.
