Stro
Just checked on festival dates because I was supposed to have a notification by Monday. It didn't appear on my submission list until much later. Turns out they are all pushing their dates at this point. Would be nice if they sent out emails to tell us they were pushing the dates.

I also lost a festival I could have sworn I signed up for. But there's no record of it, despite the fact I have it on my personal calendar. And yet, I have receipt here in my email. Time to track things down.

Figured out the mystery. I didn't sign up for DUMBO through Film Freeway. I signed up directly because they were giving a discount if I did it that way.

So many balls in the air to keep track of.

I'm currently in Limbo. Since they keep pushing back the festival announcement notifications. I keep having to wait longer and longer. My next announcement is still on for Saturday for a festival in New York called DUMBO. Then the following week, I will hear from the Valley Film Festival. That one is held in the San Fernando Valley. I won't hear from anyone else until July 1. On that day, there will be three announcements.

I should have already have heard from the Woods Hole Film Festival, at least that is what the email they sent out stated.

So, Limbo.

I'm still pissed about Burbank. I still haven't had verification from Warsaw, despite the fact I have sent them 3 emails. I have that nagging fear that what happened in Burbank will happen in Warsaw. I won't feel good until I know for sure.

In order to keep me from obsessing (Good Luck!) I ordered a bunch of lumber so I can build some infrastructure in the studio. I also got the material to complete the undead shed. That should keep me busy for a bit.

Update: I just went to check on another festival only to find it has changed dates as well, pushing back a month. The only way to know this is to look at the submission schedule. The text on their section of Film Freeway still shows them getting ready for the June screenings. Their website needs to be updated as well. It still talks about screening in June, too.

I got a poster up at TC too. I texted you that. Not that anyone goes into the lobby right now - it's just curbside there. I'll find somewhere else to post the remaining posters once things open up a little more.

Rejected.

Woods Hole has decided not to include our film in their festival. Oddly, no one in Massachusetts (Site of the Woods Hole Film Fest) has seen the film.

The current score is 2 rejections, 1 reversal, 1 acceptance (still waiting to hear from them), 3 withdrawals. That leaves me waiting on 43 Festivals. The next announcement scheduled is Saturday, unless someone else pops up.

Okay. Stro is a semifinalist for the April-May competition of the DUMBO FF. They will announce the finalist(s) on Tuesday. If Stro is a monthly finalist, then we can screen our film at the yearly DUMBO festival in September.

Can't generate a lot of enthusiasm for this pre-announcement announcement. They will only tell the winners on Tuesday. I'm sure there will be lots of checking the spam folder just in case the big announcement went to the wrong folder.

When I've made semifinalist in something, I tell people I've entered 14-wheeler territory.  That makes me feel more substantial.

Though less energy efficient.

Hoping you jettison 13 wheels real soon now.  Unicycles are underrated.

I'm spending a lot of time hitting the 'Get mail' button on my mail program to see if the announcement from DUMBO film festival has arrived.

I'm also checking their website often to see if they updated the Apr-May finalists. I also peeked at who won for Feb-Mar. It was a film shot on the Space Station. So, no pressure.

DUMBO says no.

They went with some film that had Greta Thunberg in it. Damn kids.
