Sheltering in Place
Got a double-yolked egg this morning making my mom's cheese omelet. That's lucky. I need luck now and am taking that for all the auspiciousness it has.

Went downtown to the bank, post office & bookstore. We had to transfer our UI payments to our checking, get stamps and mail off a parcel (some books from my office reference library - now dismantled - off to a friend) and Stacy wanted to get an OED. It was good to get out, but sad to see the downtown ghost town.

Day 64: I have my first job interview via gotomeeting. Wish me luck.
Then I have a Zoom meeting for iMort consulting.
It's almost like a work day.

Best of luck.

If I can find a missing kitten after fourteen hours, you can have a successful job interview!
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

day 65: just popped awake due to a short coughing fit. not sure where that came from. nothing a glass of water couldn't solve but it's always worrisome at first, ya know?

it's 2:30am. i got nothing for today except hiding from memorial day tourists. maybe i'll do some kfm file copying or binge some vids.

We ran a quick errand to the landfill to dispose of some batteries, e-waste, old paint and backpacking fuel cans. It was really efficient. We considered stopping at Companion for a treat, but there was a huge line, so we bailed and came back to the bungalow. Lots of people out and about for Memorial Day weekend. I'm betting we'll see a case spike across the nation.

I guess I'll do some KFM downloading today, maybe tweak the site a bit, maybe write a little. We've got some Netflix DVDs for tonight and enough rations for the weekend.

Saturday was a little work, then visiting friends in a very socially distant outside/backyard manner. Very pleasant.

Today is sleep late and extra coffee and late breakfast. A walk will occur later today. H still has to do some remote work.

Order 66: Went for a hike first thing this morning at Nisene. Stacy has been exploring the unmarked trails and found a secret entrance to the park from the neighboring hood. It was a short hike, to the Advocate tree and back, which was just about right for me. We got a little lost for a bit but not significantly. Nevertheless, it triggered my overwhelming sense of being lost right now. More people started to show up, only about half were masked, but everyone was exhibiting good social distancing as we passed each other on the trails. We bailed before it got too busy.

Today, I'll do more downloading and just surfing the web. I need lunch now...

Did some downloading, did my quaranroutine, then went for another walk alone. Went to see the sea, mostly because Stacy went to the local market and said it was quiet. Well, the cliffs were busy with only about a third of the people masked. Some people were even setting up chairs on the curbside to ocean view. Damn tourists. I saw my next door neighbors, waved 'hi' and it took them a second because I was masked, sunglassed and lidded. On the down low Ninja style. I took a beeline outta there and strolled about my c-brite hood, looking at houses and admiring flowers. Got home and took a salt bath as Stacy practiced piano, which was very lovely. I miss live music so much.

Looks like individual lessons start again at the club on June 1st, maybe limited practice mid-month

California trend. Mask under mask is good question.
