Okay, I gotta ask this.

Do Chinese audiences who see the Star Wars saga actually like Jar Jar Binks?

Chinese directors seem prone to adding comedic animated characters to their dramas.  I call it Jar Jar syndrome .

Fair question.  Probably.  Although in general, Chinese audiences don't care for Star Wars.  They never saw the original trilogy, so the Daddy Darth mcguffin had no impact.  They saw Jar Jar first.  Actually, that would explain a lot of things...

Escape from North Korea just proves you can rip off plenty of films in just one trailer! I'm glad they got Carpenter to do the soundtrack.
