I'll be back to film Season 2 during the last week of April and the first week of May.  Two weeks to accommodate the  additional episodes (from 8 to 10 or 11) but I'm still only featured in 5 at this time.  I have the weekend off.  I wonder if there's anything to do in LA, like hook up with the So. Cal DOOM brothers, if they aren't too busy self-flagellating.

Maybe I can borrow one of Crystal's 'babies'.

I'll be back on set by May 1 so won't be able to pester you.  You'll be in the clear.  I'll have more details as things firm up.

I leave for LA on Monday and my schedule is booked solid starting Tuesday through the next Thursday.  The first Monday and last Friday are travel days and I have the weekend off.

Schedule is rigorous - 7AM to 8PM - I'm in the same amount of episodes (5) but the feedback from Season 1 was that there were too many talking heads in each episode, so they are reducing that down to mostly me and Da'Mon.  We'll have one day where we just talk by ourselves in a different studio.  They've given me a sheaf of prep material.  Much of it I know already - I need references to dates and numbers, and there are a lot of those.  But it's pretty intimidating.  So many facts to get into place in my head, plus juggling schedule.  Of the cast, I have the least front-of-camera experience, so that's rather intimidating.  Then again, Danny probably has more front-of-camera experience than the whole cast combined, several times over.

I've been telling folks I'm going to Hollywood, even though I probably won't be anywhere near there (well, near in miles, but hours away in LA traffic).  Hollywood just sounds better.  Seeing as so few people are tuned into El Rey Network (only the coolest, and cool people are a dying breed), it conveys the 'reality TV star' message, as so few have really seen the show.

I hope to get together with Greg and maybe even the famous quotable tQ if she can find time in her busy schedule.  Let me know.  Srsly, it would be grand to see you guys.  I also hope to connect with my Shaolin disciple brother who recently moved to LA over the weekend. Maybe see some sites, do something touristy.  Schedule and hotel info coming soon,.

We are a pretty busy couple what with our dog watching and reading activities. But we might venture south to the beautiful city of Commerce (Those in the know like to refer to it as Commerce) Anything you would like to see or do in the media capital of the world?

Avengers: Infinity War is out that weekend and I know how you love your super hero movies. Or will you have already gone to a press screening?

No screener for Infinity Wars.  They don't need any more buzz, especially not from us.  The MCU no longer luvs us.  Sad

They're housing me in the Hyatt House in El Segundo.  That looks a little more civilized than that weird casino I was in last year.  More shops and stuff in walking distance.  How's that 'hood?

I just re-upped Sling and El Rey. I’m ready!

El Segundo?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

It's not that bad. Just over the border from Ingelwood. It's home to LAX, Directv, and Defense Contractors. You should be safe. Relatively.

Actually, you are right next to the theater where we saw Mimi Chan's film

Thanks for your support but it'll be months before Season 2 airs.  Not that you won't be able to find amusement with El Rey.  I RIDE WITH EL REY.

I'm glad you said that because I might have been stumbling around in a deja vu haze wondering why it all looked so familiar.

Relative safety is about all we can ask for nowadays.

Relatively safe?  This place is so mellow, brother.  Too mellow.  It makes me nervous.

So I'm in this huge room with two private bedrooms each with a private bath, and a full kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, and dishes.  I must be rooming with another out-of-town cast mate because this is ridiculous if it's just me.  I have a lovely view of the parking lot.  Home for the next two weeks.

Apart from my upcoming date with Greg, I'm meeting my Shaolin disciple brother tonight for dinner. We haven't seen each other in the flesh in years.  One of my reggae accomplices has invited me to a show at the Mint on Wednesday night, which sounds cool but I'm declining because I have to be up early to film the next day, and then to some Hip Hop fest on the Queen Mary this weekend.  He's a promoter, a hustler, and works for a pot dispensary and says he can get me in to anything.  Sunday is my date with Greg.  Not sure about Saturday - that's tempting.  We'll see.  I'd have to make it out to Long Beach.  I might just pass on all that and just meet him for some single malts somewhere.

Tomorrow is my talking head scenes at Defy.  That's where it's just me for hours, spilling my guts in front of bright lights and a camera, trying to act like an expert.  Last year, I flew down, did it and flew back in a day.  I'm glad this is at the beginning because it's the lion's share of the info dump, and I can get that out of the way first.  Wednesday and Thursday are the War Room scenes.  Those will be tricky because it's the cast.  Then it's the tests. That's the fun part, and it's mostly improv because we don't really know how it'll go.

The front desk says the upgraded me to a double because they were all out of kings. Not sharing it with another cast member. Now I have separate two bedrooms and bathrooms. Way too much space. Should I alternate?
