I'm headed to Englewood this weekend for a new Chinese Martial Arts gathering. I've only been through the CO airport really. Did we drive through it on our epic Nationals U.S. tour, PPFY? If we did, I can't remember a thing about it. Not that I get to see any of the cities I visit when I cover these events. Usually I just see the airport, the hotel, and the venue. But this will likely be a small event, simple to cover for me, and I have several martial friends that want to entertain me in that area, so we'll see.
Right now, I'm telecommuting from my beloved veranda. It's sunny yet cool, T-shirt, sandals & shorts temperature for my neighbors, perfect Cruzian weather. Englewood is forecasted to be -3 the night I arrive. Bother. I don't think I want to go out in that.

I think we came back through there on I-70 and then went up to meet I-80 in SLC.
Colorado is pretty OK. Lots of BornAgains in Colorado Springs, so mind your heathen ways.

Goddammit. My iPhone reset to Celsius. It’s not going to be -3. It’s going to be 28. Still effin cold but not muthaeffin cold. I hate merc-in-retro.

And I'm thinking, twenty-eight four? That sounds really serious! I need to call 911!. But then I'm thinking, Wait a second. Is that Celsius? I struggle to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit but am getting nowhere, and that's when I wake up.
I'm shaken and can't get back to sleep for a couple hours.
This happened two nights ago after DM first reported serious issues with the Pom. I think that was the genesis.
P.S.: DM? Lose the Celsius, okay? I can't do math in my dreams.
I'm nobody's pony.

Stressin tomorrow’s travel. Pineapple Express? Srsly? I couldn’t make it through that movie. I’m tormented by the urge to punch Seth Rogan in the nose. And I still haven’t replaced my Swiss army rucksack that was stolen from my car before tcec two years ago. But I have a good book. And it won’t be -3 as long as I stay away from the Celsius.

Have a boring trip and I hope you get some welcome bits of respite.

Will you be seeing everyone's favorite Coloradan Kisu?
Are you flying or driving?
I'm sure you won't get any of that pesky rain stuff. It's more likely to be white and fluffy.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Spent the evening with Kisu, the promoter (a Tai Chi master from Jamaica) and two other Tai Chi masters.
There's snow, but it's just barely sticking. 27 F

There are no other Asians here now. There were two before but they seem to have left. So weird. So very very weird.

They smoke a lot of pot in the mile high city. Not as much as So Hum, reggae festivals or dead tour, but still a lot more than average. Couple that with the altitude and gratuitous Tai Chi and it’s a struggle to keep at least one eye open for the camera lens. Found some more Asians. Turns out we’re near little Vietnam.
Tomorrow is workshops and a late flight home.
