A great story ruined.

I just got an email from Andy. He said it was Kabos. He was wrong.

So what are you going to do?  Kill it?  Go with it?

I'm curious because I face this sort of 'can I have a do over?' scenario all the time.  And I seldom do do overs.

It's an outtake. So, it will go in the outtake pile, not part of the actual film. But now since I know the truth, I'll probably just kill it.

It was really interesting when they both thought they were telling the truth. The conflict came in the contrast.

It's still a good story. Maybe when I get back to Andy later this year, I'll have him redo it.

Reminds me of Lady Kung Fu (aka Hapkido) starring Angela Mao.  I watched a dubbed version where they kept saying Karate, but then someone had overdubbed every "Karate" with "Hapkido" (in a totally different cadence and voice).  Wonderfully jarring, adding to my enjoyment of the flick.  And no, there will never be another Angela Mao.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that you don't take this approach.

Sorry to hear about the problem.

I have an Angela Mao collection DVD - has 6 of her films including When TKD Strikes and my personal fav, Stoner (with George Lazenby!)  Happy to loan it to you someday, if you like.  Check out this KFM forum thread: http://www.kungfumagazine.com/forum/show...Angela-Mao

Good call.  Makes for a nice DVD/BRD extra perhaps.  I wouldn't go back for it though. Put this one to bed, production wise.  Sling it and then move on.

We all think we were telling the truth, at least all of us except for those that are really really honest.

I just got off the phone with Mr. Shaw. He said he trusts his brain and is usually 100% right. Except this time.

I tried to explain to him why I thought it was interesting but he just kept shutting me down and saying it was Kabos.

We are having a screening on Oct 8, Sunday, at 11am at the Albany Twin in Berkeley.

Who wants to come? Send me an email and I'll put you on the list.

Goddammit. I am in Tahoe 10/07 celebrating my mom's 83rd B-Day. We may just turn around and drive back Saturday night. Then again, I have to drink to tolerate my family so I may be unable to drive back. Can you throw my name on the list without a no-show penalty?

ED sees Tom Petty...see what happens.

ED goes to a Vegas music festival...see what happens.

You sure you want ED at the screener?

I feel sorry for Tahoe.

ED, if you can make it just come by. We aren't that formal.

See? I checked all of your schedules to see when it would be most inconvenient to see the screening and that's the date we came up. Birthdays. Anniversaries.

I don't know how the Yeti slipped in.

I'll be in church Sunday morning.
No, wait.  I'm an atheist.

But my Sifu's Tai Chi class is Sunday morning, and there are reasons why I don't want to miss any of these classes right now.

There's always Sundance, right?

Congrats!

Is this the first DOOM bro to get his work up on a marquee? I think so.
