Just finished re-reading FW by JH. What a good book; it stands up very well, considering. This new edition had some editing problems, though, but also some new stuff from the original manuscript. PPFY sez "check it out"!
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
