First off, I've never spoken to my cousin Brian Lynch, despite repeated attempts. My father wanted me to get in contact with him, so I tried to no avail. I do follow him on Twitter and Facebook and he has responded to me at least once. I do have more interaction with his father.
Brian's credits include the Despicable Me and the Minions Franchise. He also wrote the books The Secret Life of Pets which he then turned into movies. The Secret Life of Pets now have their own ride at Universal. All told his films have grossed more than a billion dollars. By any estimation, he's pretty successful in his chosen field. And to think his career started as the craft service guy on an early Kevin Smith.
Yesterday, Brian tweeted that he's writing a live action screenplay and he's unsure if anyone will even like it.
