I liked it. I like Ian. He gives all of his roles a special British dignity. And the notion of Holmes facing senility was amusing. I do like Sherlock stories. It was very BBC, pleasant locations, very proper, and paid decent homage to the character. Stacy gave it a 'meh'. It's British, so there was a HP factor of 1 (the headmaster from the all girls school Beaubatons (srp)- the giantess woman).
We both needed to escape into a movie given our recent cat loss.
The theater was filled with senior citizens. Stacy has been keenly pointing out how too many audiences for shows we attend are all grey haired. And the movie was about growing old. Even all the trailers were about movies about growing old. We had to wait patiently to leave after the movie because old people take a long time to exit (not us, the rest of the audience). After the film, we resolved to do more young things. Stacy said we should hang out with Tara and engage teenage stuff, but she's got all her teenage friends to do that with, and she's been missing them all summer.
