I thought the person we were supposed to recognize was Carson Teeva.
S03 Ep05 was a solid episode a little light on Mando but this episode does point the way to where the season is going.
But the show also highlighted one of the weaknesses of the TV version. The big battles always come down to just a few people. They don't have the budget to really make it epic. And when the entire town is gathered with Action Jackson there is only about twenty people. But they are getting a lot of mileage out of that Navar city set.
It was a good episode, probably best of the season.

A bit of an outlier ep - almost a police partner procedural. I liked the idea of a droid bar. I’ve always had an issue with how Star Wars droids are clearly sentient but treated as 2nd class. Same with clones. Bo is starting to upstage Din. The Lizzo / Jack Black cameo was superfluous and a tad annoying (mostly Black - didn’t even recognize Lizzo at first).

Still. Loose lips sink ships and all.
Is it just me or does it seem that Bryce Howard directs the weakest episodes? There just seems to be something very TV about her work. The episodes seem to lack a certain grandeur about them. Granted the TV detective motif doesn't help as Mando and Bo Katan get to play private detectives. And one of the cameos looks really old.

G-Man, I don’t read this thread until *after* I’ve caught up. No spoilers for this Yeti.

Ep 07 Watching the Star Wars celebration from London seemed very prophetic for this episode. It was good one. We are finally getting to the crux of the story for this season. Plenty of battles. Some fun stuff with Grogu. I'm not sure if we have one or two episodes left to the season.

Good plan. I did exactly that with Greg's post above (although it was relatively spoiler free).
The most recent ep was the penultimate of this season I think. And it was a good payout. One of the strongest eps this season so far. Star Wars battles with mandalorians. Noice.

The finale was very satisfying. Mando stuck the landing. The best ep of this series so far. But oh… the dark saber.

The dark saber becomes the classic McGuffin. A very good episode. It sort of made up for a lackluster season. It was good to finally see Grogu and Din Djarin finally have some action.
