Jason Stathem was on the Kevin and Bean show this morning. I emailed in to make sure they asked about rumours of the Sylvestor Stallone and Jet Li movie he might be in. Stathem confirmed they are going to start shooting in February. SCOOP! I wonder if this is going to end up on KFM?

Damn. I hate it when that happens. And it sounded so tenative when we talked. Even Stathem didn't seem to want to say on the radio. Curse you, Red Baron.

They had the trailer , along with about a hundred others, for the Expendables in front of Kick Ass. Two shockers, they showed Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis in the trailer. And Sylvester Stallone is listed as Director. This film keeps getting better and better on the really going to be bad scale. Jet Li barely appears in the trailer. It seems like it's going to be a buddy flick between Statham and Stallone. I'd forgotten Dolph was going to be in it until his name showed up in the credits. The trailer made me not want to see the movie.

The ultimate Doom flick. It's full of cheezy dialogue, explosions and gun play. Everybody get's their moment in the sun. My favorite was Jet Li's discourse. At some point the brotherhood must get together and watch this film.
On a cinema note, a very strange thing happened at our showing. First they made us pay extra because it was in IMAX with the volume set to a eleven. Halfway through the previews, they switched to 3-D trailers despite the fact Expendables isn't in 3-D. Then the movie started in 3-d as well. They showed a bunch of people talking about dancing. It was at this point many of us realized they were showing us Step-Up 3-D rather than "The Expendables" The manager did come in and apologized. He also mentioned we probably didn't want to see Step Up. For the inconvenience of seeing two minutes of the wrong film the manager gave us free passes to another show. Score.

Does having attended earn me any points?

All I had to do was wait, because I knew that post was coming.

Jet is my fav actor in that crew and he got a crap role. It's just like that Asian dude in Ocean's Eleven only more of a laughing stock. And I hate digital blood. It like exploding blood packs and victims connected to hoses. What's next, digital money shots?
