Giants are killing the town of Edda until Thor comes to town to take them on.
Except it's modern day. The Giants are the leading family in town who just happen to own the town chemical plant which the whole town is dependent on. And Thor doesn't know he is Thor, yet. He's a kid called Magne. His single mother has had to return to Edda for a job. She has brought Magne and Magne's brother Laurits back to Edda as well. Luarits is pretty tricky by the way and looks nothing like Magne.
Magne is the outsider so he hangs out with Isolde who no one likes because she's trying to prove the Giant's chemical plant is poisoning the town. Magne is also discovering that he can now do superhero level feats. He can run fast. He can throw a hammer a thousand meters. He's also incredibly strong. He doesn't know what is going on with himself or the town.
Eventually (there are 6 episodes) Magne understands what the Giants are doing and moves to defeat them. The Giants realize Magne is a threat and move to stop him.
For me it was all about seeing the town of Edda and watching how this Norwegian town worked, how this Scandinavian superhero show worked.
It was diverting.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
