He was my dad’s brother in law, a butcher in hawaii who lived past 100. My strongest memory of him was himoffering to climb a coconut tree to get a cocunut for me. It was a super tall tree. I was like pre-teen so he must have been in his sixties then. He had been in hospice the last few months.

Sorry for your loss, but goddamn we are living too long.
I'm hoping to die in my 60s.
Old age is destroying our planet.
EDIT: My great-aunt taught me how to churn butter. Maybe old age is helpful.

60s is coming up fast, brother.
My uncle was 101. He was in decent shape until the last years. He managed well, with his daughters' help, but then began to falter a lot. He had been in hospice for less than a year.
