So there are two of these - the original Last 47 Days and the sequel Between Two Worlds (which we're doing a sweepstakes promo for now). I'm not sure which one I saw because the airplane monitor cut off the subtitle. This is a K-flick about Buddhist purgatory where you have 49 days to prove your value via 7 tests in order to be reincarnated. I did it a great disservice watching it on a tiny airplane 4" screen because it's a CGI extravaganza. I studied Buddhist hell a bit - this seemed accurate, particularly the forest of swords (which was a stand-out concept for me). Buddhist purg is very Dante & maximally karmic. I enjoyed what I saw, particularly the 3 Virgils guiding the dead protag (a 'paragon' because he was a fireman who gave his life to save a child, but with some major skeletons in his closet), but I fell asleep in the middle and then woke to watch the rest so it was a bit broken up. I'll have to catch the other film.
This is the last of my airplane movie reviews until after my return flight. I must say that United offers an excellent selection and man did they feed us - couldn't even eat all the meals and snacks.
