Caught this on El Rey earlier in the week. It's like the 24th anniversary of it. At first, it felt really dated, particularly with all the coke-blown villains and that cheesey heavy metal vibe. But then, Brandon's performance really started to work for me. So tragic. I saw everything Brandon did and the rest was so mediocre, so in the shadow of his pops. But this, this was extraordinary. He really shined. A poignant vision of what might have been.
