Saw this on BoingBoing today. It's a 1930's animation of John Carter of Mars.

But...the Princess was an oviparous mammal...I don't think the Religious Right are gonna let that one go.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
