Why do I keep renting these films? It can be merely to annoy the Queen. It could be I like watching young men balance bowls of water on their head and hands for hours on end. It could be the two finger Zen or the hitting the wall for two hours with your bloody hand. I especially liked the four guys holding the one guy and using him as a ram into the punching bag. Those whacky kids.
It was a pretty good overall look at Shaolin Temple and it's history. Since there was so much to cover it skimmed pretty much everything. They showed some dopey graphics of animals when it covered the different animal styles. It gave about a minute to everything. It showed the Secular Disciples and the Martial Monks. We got sound bytes from Shi Deyanng(?) and Shi Dechao. It even covered some of the big Kung Fu schools that now surround the temple.
But I think this is the last history of Shaolin I have to see.
