I feel like I've read his books, but I can't remember them. I'm tempted to dive back in.

Knots and Crosses would be the first.

The only mention on the forum of Mr. Rankin is the Yeti being enthused that CF might have known him. That particular post is from 2009.

In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
