Outwater conducted something they called Wow - great moments in symphony. It was all the bombastic stuff - Ride of the Valkyrie, Beethoven's 5th, Zarathura, etc., especially for families. We managed to get 2nd row seats, stage right, next to the violins. It was awesome. There's nothing like a full orchestra, including pipe organs, in your lap, listening to those monster pop symphonies. What fun. What a rich, full sound. With the office xmas party scheduled on the same day and an impending doula client earlier in the week, and then an automotive disaster, it was looking grim for me to make it, but I'm so glad I did.
