Surprise -- a crossover between the many worlds of Mr. Parker; primariily Sunny Randall and Jesse Stone, working on a case together and getting together (as each is finally figuring out that they're most likely NOT getting back together with their respective ex-spouses.) And hey - Sunny Randall's shrink is Susan Silverman, Spenser's girlfriend. And they spend a big chunk of the book in Los Angeles instead of Boston.
Like most Parker novels, this was a very, very, very fast read: mostly dialog, not too much pesky detail. Should keep a smirk on your face for 45 minutes, at least.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
