The Wild
#1
NY Zoo animals return to the jungle? Hmmm, why does that sound familiar? Madagascar, did you say? Oh yeah, The Wild sucked big time in comparison. What a horrid waste of bytes.

Let's see, M had Ben Stiller as the lion, Chris Rock as the Zebra, Jada Pinkett Smith as the Hippo, David Swimmer as the giraffe, and Borat as the lemur. W had Kiefer Sutherland as the lion, James Belushi as the squirrel, Eddie Izzard as the koala, Janine Garofalo as the giraffe and Capt Kirk as the wildebeast. M had militant penguins. W had militant chameleons. Stiller can get more laughs than Sutherland any day (weird that they're both 2nd gen actors) Belushi might has liked ED's house, but Steve Carell broke the CGI squirrel mold in Over the Hedge. Izzard is just plain annoying. Garofalo, well, she's ok. There's a great pic of her meditating with a cig in either the Warfield or the Fillmore, I can't remember, but it's amusing. I've always enjoyed Shatner, but he's unrecognizable as a wildebeast and no match for Cohen's lemur king. That lemur rocked. T still does the 'I like to move it, move it' bit.

I can hardly wait until Surf's Up.

Shatner was also indistinguishable as the possum in over the hedge. Or is it just that Shatner is in every movie these days . . .? And game shows.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

That possum was totally Shatner. The whole overdone death scene schtick was Shatner to the core. Shatner is the king of overacting. You crazy.
