Ball of Fire (1941)
#1
Gary Cooper lives in a house with seven other men as they struggle to complete a brand new encyclopedia. They all seem to be cut off from the world. This all changes when Cooper realizes he knows nothing about slang. He leaves the security of the house to find out the real slang. Naturally, he crosses paths with nightclub singer Barbara Stanwyck who needs to hide out for a few days. Hilarity ensues. And it is pretty funny.

Howard Hawks directs from a script by Billy Wilder. Dana Andrews is this along with a lot of familiar faces from Screwball comedies of the 1940s.

I started watching this while making dinner and then didn't feel like switching it off. Even tQ found it amusing.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
