I'm your Huckleberry by Val Kilmer
#1
It's Val Kilmer's autobiography. I've always liked him as an actor and thought this book would give me some really good behind the scenes stories about the making of the films he was in.

Not so much. He talks about all the films he was in but mostly it was "I was in this film now let me tell you how awesome Christian Science is" He does love being a Christian Scientist. And he loves himself some him, as well. He does bump into a lot of famous people like Marlon Brando and Cher, things I didn't know, but there isn't a lot of depth or nuance to the story. For instance, I loved him in Real Genius but the main story was how everybody hated his character choices which almost got him fired. He barely mentions Top Secret. As a matter of fact, he barely mentions the films.

The book seems very arty and stream of consciousness and I couldn't wait to be finished with it.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
