Yesterday, 2/27, was the fiftieth anniversary of the first live performance of Dark Star, which is on
Live Dead. So I'm listening to it right now. I didn't know about the date, but there was actually
an article in the New York Times.
I never got to see them play it. I think they pulled it out in a run I saw, but I wasn't there that night.

There was nothing like Jerry on Dark Star. Never has any other jam made me wonder what is happening so often. I heard a few over the years but I’d have to deadbase it to remember when exactly. Sorry to hear you missed that live. It was so your jam.
