It's a baking show. One of the Queen's friends recommended it.
The premise of the show is let's give people an impossible task and then laugh at them when they fail to accomplish it. The tasks involve baking exotic treats under a huge time constraint. They are given the recipes and all the ingredients. But I think even with unlimited time they would be hard pressed to recreate accurately the cakes.
Fortunately, the competitors seemed to be in on the joke. They laughed at themselves as much as the hosts did.. Plus, one of them got $5000 for playing around in the kitchen. I will say the host was very annoying and it baffled me why they made the judges taste test these horrible creations. Maybe it was their penance for being on this show.
