Jailbird by Kurt Vonnegut
#1
I saw that the 10th anniversary of Vonnegut's death is coming up, and I got the idea to reread his work, since I remember little of it. I had a bunch of credit at the used bookstore, so I bought the ones that the library didn't have, and read this first.

It was about a guy who goes to jail for unwittingly helping the Watergate conspirators, but takes the fall because, years before, his testimony sent someone to prison, and he didn't want to do it again. The "present day" of the novel is now 20+ years ago, which made it almost quaint at times. It was a bit depressing I thought, and the main character is not that likable. But there was his standard sarcastic humor, and some very nice passages. On the whole one of his lesser works I think.
