Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The story of the National Lampoon.
#1
Everything you ever wanted to know about the National Lampoon and more in a delightful 90 minutes. Okay, at some points it dragged. But they covered a lot of ground in this film. They talked the birth of the mag. They talked about the Radio show. The movies. The deaths. It's all there. Very comprehensive.

I was surprised to learn John Hughes got his start there. I learned how pretty much the the entire cast of the Radio Hour were hired for SNL. PJ O'Rourke also got his start there. I only knew him from his Rolling Stones columns.

And if the movie left you wanting more, there was about an hours worth of extras in additional interviews and extended interviews. There is even one about the Jaws parody they were going to do that rumor has it Spielberg killed.

It was a good night of research into the documentary form. More docs to come.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
