I dated Amy back in the Nineties. We both met fencing. I know, met through fencing? She eventually left me for another Fencer. But she is the reason I live where I do because this is where she lived when we dated. Her housemate still lives in the same house.
Her housemate, Roberta, shared the news with us as Cindi and I headed off on our afternoon dogwalk. Amy lost her battle to Lymphona after deciding not to go through yet another round of Chemotherapy.
On the dogwalks, I take time out to pick up the beer cans the kids leave behind around the radio tower. On this walk I found a can from a new brand of Budweiser. It was a black and silver can. And on the side, printed in extremely large letters was the word 'Fortune'.
