It's a sort of like "8- Mile", or maybe "Rocky or actually, now that I think about it -- "Honey", only with pimps and ho's and really good acting. I understand why Terrence Howard got a nomination, and think that the actress who playd Nola SHOULD have gotten a nomination for best supporting actress. So should the creepy white guy who stocks soda machines by day and makes music with these guys at night... creepy but oddly satisfying take on an old formula.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
