Frontier Village

Thank god for the Internet. After the discussion on the Disney thread I decided I needed some photos of the park to jolt some memories. The only thing I really could remember was the name, the gold panning, the fishing, the site mysterioso and that I went to a couple of Memorex company picnics there.

I guess if I loved it more I wouldn't have gone to that whore, Marriot's Great America.

But the Internet did not fail, like so many things do (Think Bode Miller at the Olympics)

So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

I always loved the hokeyness of FV. The Lost Dutchman Mine was awesome.

When I was 6 or 7 on a visit to FV I found a buffalo-head nickel on the ground. I thought I was the luckiest kid on Earth! Later I learned that FV 'seeded' old nickels around. It still rocked though.

...I remember seeing a shoot out where one cowboy fell off a roof. That was cool. Like being in a western. I guess times are different now; a shoot out at an amusement park sounds horrifying now.
