The Boondock Saints (1999)
#1
In the vein of "In Bruges", "Snatch", "Lock Stock". Young Indiana Jones is one of two Irish brothers in Boston, doing the Death Wish vigilante thing...Willem Defoe is the FBI agent on their trail. Violent...Bad lines in places, super funny in others "I can't believe that just happened. Is it dead?". I was laughing out loud.

Poking around IMDB, it appears that the sequel comes out Nov 13.

Yep. The director/creator went into a bit of an ego tailspin because of the critical acclaim of the first one. He just recently recovered.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

BS2 picks up the story 8 years later. It really feels kinda like a depressing high school reunion, with a lot of gags and characters that echo the first movie, but not necessarily as well. Like the first movie, there's some bad lines and acting, but there are a few good bits and it's nice to see the story moved along. The movie ends with a huge setup for another sequel.

Did I mention Willem Defoe was the gay FBI agent in the first BS movie and that his drag scenes were really funny? Well, he doesn't star in this one.

Rent it...or wait another 10 years for the third movie, then watch them all in a marathon.
