From Bond to Bolt and I say that because the opening sequence almost outdoes a Bond opening sequence. Bolt is ok - pretty standard for a CGI cartoon nowadays. Predictable message, predictably poignant moments, predictable revelations and plot developments, predictable deus ex machina which was totally foreshadowed. The Truman Show meets that movie about the animals traveling across America to get home (can't remember the title for the life of me). Travolta and Cyrus are surprisingly unimpressive as voice actors, especially Cyrus because in Hannah, she has an exuberant voice. I couldn't get over how much it was like our Macbeth menagerie. Bolt looked like our pom when shaved. Mittens looked like our cat. Rhino was a rodent, completely unlike our rabbit, but it takes three to make a family. I thought Rhino was going to be funnier, and while he is funny, Mittens was more amusing, as were the pigeons. It's not something DOOMers need to see, but I'll be interested in HK's take on it as a fellow parent and CGI maestro. T liked it.

There was one particularily funny scene at the dog pound. I concur with DM about the pigeons, but there were a lot of scenes without Dogpounds and Pigeons. The story was okay. It didn't have a lot of humour which I kind of hope for in a animated film. It was a fair diversion now that my DVR has crashed.
I think they borrowed all the explosions from "The Incredibles"

btw, we shaved the pom again. the cat now thinks she can take him out because he's obviously much smaller than she was led to believe. she's been stalking him relentlessly since we returned from seeing all the beautiful waterfalls of yosemite. there were so many falls that everything was misty, quelling the nasty nectar-seeking bees...

You watched the VMA's? Did you lose a bet? Are you being held hostage and that's part of the enhanced interrogation?
T?
I'm going with T.

I haven't watched the VMAs in...well, truth be told, I'm not sure I've ever watched the VMAs. It was really surreal, and that's not just because Miley ate Snoop's brownies (srsly, that was a schtick in this year's show, which was really pot-drenched).
I supposed T is somewhat to blame for my amusement of it all because of what happened to the Disney pop princesses. We did watch Hannah Montana when she was young occasionally, enough to know what it was about. Alas, Britney, Miley and Demi...
T Swizzle took the high road.

You say you have trouble remembering your past, yet you could remember a post from 2008 that was tangentially related to the VMA's and add to it.
I used to watch the VMA's all the time. Now, I'm old. Older?

Not like Ashley Madison cheat, more like search-engine cheat.
I don't remember the answers but I know how to goog the right questions.
I don't remember, I don't recall
I got no memory of anything at all
Time for the new T Swizzle vid that was dropped on the VMAs, surely the first music vid that MTV has shown in years....

I know what you're going to say Greg:

Actually, my first thought was that MTV celebrated one of their anniversaries last year (year before) and spent the whole day playing nothing but videos. I loved it. They should have a channel like that. They also need to bring back pop-up video on VH1.
Did I mention I'm shooting another rock video on Oct 4th. Now I just need a channel to show it on.
(Can I please have the budget that Swift has for her videos? Liked it. Beautifully shot)
