I agree that Heroes ended on a weak note though I had heard long before the season (and strike) started that their goal this year was to tell shorter stories. However if this last Volume illustrated anything it was the fact that no story on Heroes ever really ends. No one really dies, no villan is ever actually vanquished, and secrets are ever really revealed. What is the real goal of the Company, what are the special powers of the original founders, why do they occasionally still use annoying voiceovers from Dr. Sheresh?
And why, oh why, instead of "save the cheerleader" from last year couldn't it have been "Save the Bikini Model"?!
I wanted to like Bionic Woman. I was very encouraged in the first few episodes when I saw some familiar faces from Battlestar Galactica. But it just went the way of last seasons Jericho with an uncanny ability to add things that either make no sense or are just plain dumb.
Example of no sense, one show opens with Jamie Summers following a suspect carrying a big case. While talking to her boyfriend on her cell, she misses the target pass the case to some other person. She hangs up the phone, locates the case, runs 'really fast', and flattens the second guys car, knocking him out. She then takes the case....nothing else. If she wanted the case, why follow the first guy?
Example of stupid, when she runs 'really fast' or jumps or does other bionic things, she's doing it in heels. These are neither the only examples nor the worst.
Life is great. It is a joy to listen to the dialog.
Chuck is fun, but already starting to get old. I watched a couple of episodes of Chuck 1.0, sorry I mean Reaper. The Devil is great but rest of the show blows. It suffers from the classic, "We really have to do this fast! Now let's sit around for twenty minutes for no reason and talk about why this needs to be done fast" syndrome.
All-in-all I'm looking forward to the last seasons of Battlestar Galactica, Lost, and The Wire.
