It's a five part series following a group of dogs around Australia being trained to drive livestock of various sorts. The dogs in question usually cost in the $20k range but have gone as high as $34K. The goal is to take them from three month old pups to being able to do their jobs in a year. The process usually takes three years. The show follows five families and their new dogs. There is an also a professional dog trainer on hand to monitor the progress. The puppies are spread out all over Australia. Just to deliver the dogs was a 7000km journey. I don't know why they didn't fly the dogs to their destinations.
It's a bit long winded. The narrator has a lot of happy in her voice. And you can only watch cute puppies for so long. And I'm curious where the drama is going to come from. That being said, my father and I used to watch dog and sheep trials on TV in Ireland.
