Beware the ides of March.
The main reason I did this show was to show off my new car. That was the most amusing part of the evening, except maybe helping to staple a two-inch laceration on the back of some guy's head. I was told they were sort of Emo/Goth. They had white face makeup and balck Sgt. Pepper style band outfits. They had good pyro, or so I was told, but I missed that. They had a lot of little girl fans in makeup, including a few kogals, a few goth chicks and at least one pole dancer. All these fans were thrilled, buying lots of shirts, screaming and singing along, typical pop band really. A few friends who's music tastes I somewhat respect nodded approvingly, although not vigorously. Their show was heavily orchestrated, which I don't mind if there's a show like Pink Floyd or the Stones, but this wasn't nearly of that scale. It was more of a recital, and if you're going to recite, it better be a freaking awesome show to keep my interest. Or it need to be a recital that takes some skill, like classical. MCR did nothing for me. My new car was much cooler.
