Wayfarer Trilogy by Becky Chambers
#1
Book one is called “Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet”, all three books are available.

Loosely connected Space Opera that is not operatic. Kinda hard to describe, but it is about the people, humans and aliens, and how they interact in the universe she has created. Conflicts are small and personal. Most Space Opera or Epic Fiction has Great Characters doing Significant Things in order to Save Humanity/The Univers/Etc. This is much more slice-of-life, what is going on while Significant Things happen elsewhere to other people.

I enjoyed them, but they are not my usual action-filled Grimdark outings. They are generally positive, people do have to overcome problems and losses occur.

These are quiet books in a very big universe.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
