Wasei-eigo means Japanese words made from English words. Anime is a good example. Reddo Bureido means Red Blade. Why? I don't know. It should be akai ha. Weird language Japanese.
This was written by DOOM fav Sion Sono. Or Sono Sion. Or as he's listed here, Shion Sono. Weird.
It's a kogal ninjette flick.
A young bullied girl's dad is a criminal so escapes into a manga about ninjette sisters and is magically transported into their ninja land where she trains as a ninja with the characters from the manga. But it turns out that the villains in her real world and ninja world are the same, a sleazy exec with a white hilted katana and a buxom raven-dressed villainess with ample cleavage, backed by a lot of ninjas.
It feels as if this is based on an anime or a manga, but I didn't find much in English about it, and didn't pursue it.
It opens with a bloody ridiculous sword fight. A swordsman clad in white, splattered with blood, fights off dozens of ninjas. The choreo was mediocre and the cheesy katana with an obvs fake hamon line really put me off. I bailed halfway through the opening sword fight. But I came back for it last night and was glad I did. It gets better. The choreo improves later and I fell in with the cheese factor. It's a kogal ninjette so I don't know what I was expecting.
It's not too salacious, given the kogal factor. There's some upskirt panty peeking during some high kicking fights. And there's the aforementioned ample villainess cleavage. But the ninjette outfits are super cute.
It wasn't quite to the level of Sono flicks I've seen before in regards to psychotropicality. It didn't have any visceral bloody gut punches, however it was sanguineous. It's not really a Sono film. There were other writers involved.
So yeah. cute kogal ninjette sword fights. Recommended for DOOM kogal ninjette fans. There's no shame in that. Saw this on Amazon Prime and it's only an hour and a half.
Just for the record, DM's ninjette squad will have a token kogal, but that's just because it's the expectation. The rest of the ninjettes will be of age.
